The end of the season is quickly approaching for the Storm, with their showdown against Guildford Flames being the last match of the season for the Manchester side. Guildford Flames will host the Storm on the 17th of April 2022, the match is scheduled to start at 18:00 (BST).
It has been a disappointing season for the Storm, as they currently sit 9th out of 10 in the league table, with just 14 wins from 53 matches. A victory over 5th placed Guildford Flames would be a gratifying way to bring the season to a close for Storm fans.
Nonetheless, the Storm will be looking to grab all three points on their final outing, as it would guarantee them 9th place, with Fife Flyers just 3 points behind in last place. For the Storm to avoid a fall down to 10th place would be, if nothing else, sparing the side's blushes.
These two sides last met on Saturday the 16th of April, meaning they will only have one day to prepare for another clash. Guildford Flames came out on top in the previous match, beating the Storm 2-1 with goals from Levi Cable and Turner Ripplinger. The only goal for the Storm came from the reliable Adam Brady.

Brady has been a silver lining for the Storm in an otherwise dismal season. The attacker has 25 goals and has provided 34 assists in 53 matches, meaning the Canadian is averaging 1.1 goal contributions per match. An average any attacker would be proud of.
The Storm will have to put this season behind them, and prepare well for the next campaign. The Storm faithful will undoubtably be looking back on the 2017/18 season in fond memory, when their side finished 2nd in the league. Fans will remain hopeful that the Storm can bounce back once again and show what they are made of.
